Sculptural silver pearl jewellery that will always stand out from the crowd. Inspired by weathered coastal rocks and sparkling rock pools, the reflective silver surfaces echo the movement of water surrounding cultured freshwater pearls which sit like treasures. The asymmetry introduces movement which guides the eye in unexpected ways, creating a totally unique setting for pearls. The Rockpool collection features pendants, earrings and a gorgeous sculptural ring and can be made with different coloured pearls, including white, grey and pink, depending on availability. Custom-made pieces can be created upon request, featuring diamonds (which look spectacular!) and gold.
The Rockpool collection began from melting left-over pieces of silver into balls and ellipsoids of various sizes. Carefully selected pieces were then soldered together to make an asymmetrical but harmonious whole. The ring was particularly challenging to make and involved constructing a kind of multi-level bed for the silver pieces to sit in.
All fine jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Your jewellery should never be sprayed with perfume, hairspray or deodorant as these can cause a patina to develop on the silver. I strongly recommend storing your jewellery carefully to preserve its beauty. It is best to keep your Rockpool jewellery in an airtight environment like a zip lock plastic bag or wrapped in cloth or tissue paper. Don’t leave silver jewellery out in the open as circulating air will speed up any tarnishing.
It is best never to expose your Rockpool jewellery to high temperatures like hot showers or saunas as this could soften the glue used to secure the pearl. If you do need to remove tarnish, I would recommend gently rubbing the polished silver surface with a silver polishing cloth. Please don’t hesitate to contact me by email if you have any questions.
