The Jellyfish collection

Versatile, perfect for day or night

Inspired by Jellyfish, this delicate collection features clusters of gemstones or keshi pearls with slender spiralling tendrils of polished silver cascading downwards. The gemstones and tendrils are linked together to create movement, and the highly polished wires flicker as they catch the light.

A great choice to add a little bit of glamour for work and perfect for nights out, adding an element of drama and sparkle. Many of my customers have multiple pairs of earrings in a range of colours for different outfits. The Jellyfish collection is also suitable for brides and bridesmaids and popular for gifts.

I first designed my Jellyfish earrings back in 2004 and they are still one of my most popular styles. Many variations are possible with the Jellyfish collection including various lengths of earrings and quantities of gemstones. I generally use Argentium silver which has a higher percentage of silver than sterling silver and is also tarnish resistant. 9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold is available upon request, and gold plated can also be made as an affordable alternative to gold.

Caring for your Jellyfish jewellery

All jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Your jewellery should never be sprayed with perfume, hairspray or deodorant as these can cause a patina to develop on the silver. I strongly recommend storing your Jellyfish jewellery carefully to preserve its beauty.

It is best to keep it in an airtight environment like a zip lock plastic bag or wrapped in cloth or tissue paper. Don’t leave silver jewellery out in the open as circulating air will speed up any tarnishing.

If you do need to remove tarnish from Jellyfish made with gemstones only (not pearls), then I recommend a silver dip like Hagerty Silver Clean available online. Simply dip the jewellery for a couple of seconds only, then rinse thoroughly with water and dry carefully with a tissue. Never put keshi pearl Jellyfish in silver dip as the chemical can react with the pearl and damage the surface. For pearls I recommend gently rubbing the wires with a silver cloth, or using a small amount of Silvo (available from supermarkets and hardware stores) on a cotton wool ball and gently rubbing over the wires, followed by rinsing thoroughly with water and drying with a tissue.

For heavily tarnished Jellyfish with keshi pearls you can place the items in an old coffee cup lined with aluminium foil (shiny side up) and add a tablespoon of bicarb soda. Pour boiling water on top and the mixture will bubble and fizz. Leave this for a few minutes and an electrolytic process takes place and lines the aluminium foil with the tarnish. You may need to repeat this if the jewellery is heavily tarnished. Rinse and dry thoroughly and then gently rub with a silver polishing cloth. Do not use this process on jewellery which has pearls glued in place as the heat may soften the glue. Please don’t hesitate to contact me via email if you have any questions.
